"In all my years (50+) of directing, acting and producing community theatre in Rochester, NY, I have rarely seen a production to rival RAPA'S production of SWEENEY TODD, and this includes my own productions."
"Last night I witnessed a production whose production values, acting, directing, choreography, costuming, music direction and set design equaled, and in some cases surpassed, many professional productions of this difficult and classic work that I have seen in New York, Toronto, and Rochester."
"Make no mistake ALL the actors, despite their youth, were totally believable. Even though the characters they were portraying were years older than they, never once was that obvious. The entire cast is superb and deserves individual mention but space precludes that. I would however like to give special Kudos to Jared Birritella as Sweeney and Cara Recinella as Mrs. Lovett. Ms. Recinella is a beauty possessed of a thrilling voice and prodigious acting talents. She showed that a young actress CAN play this role and bring to it all the depth and maturity needed to pull of this wonderful character. Mr. Birritella, at 17!!, was astonishing; I suggest that everyone mark that name down - he will go far!"
"Thank you RAPA, Judi Andreano, Judith Ranaletta, Brian Clikner. Matthew Clark, Kristi Kosko and the entire cast of Sweeney Todd for one the most exhilarating evenings at the theatre that I have ever experienced."
